If you read our last blog post, you’ll know we smashed down our original office building, to make way for 80 new storage units. Our old office building served us well and we made great memories there, but we couldn’t be more excited about our new mini office space.
Here’s what’s been going on in the last couple of weeks.
We are officially settled into our office and are adding small fixtures and decorations by the day. We’re planning to add a splash cadmium yellow and black to our office so you can’t miss us.
Aside from the fun of decorating and styling we also experienced the pressure of setting up and installing new technology. The inevitable IT problems occurred leaving us wanting to rip our hair out. Fortunately, they’re being solved and our stress levels are decreasing as the last of the issues are being put to bed.
We’ve also put the spotlight on safety with a new security camera system. Our security system monitors around the clock ensuring we protect you and your belongings. Additionally, we’ve employed a new security firm as we aim to provide more efficiency and peace of mind for everyone.
On top of this all we’ve been experiencing delays and setbacks due to COVID-19. Our site looks very lonely as our new 80 storage units still seem to be enjoying their time on a wharf in China. We are expecting and hoping them to be joining us in mid-November of this year.
Back at home, we owe a huge thanks to our contractors (Gardiner Building Contractors) who have been down at our site helping us construct our new office – while following all the COVID-19 protocols and control measures. We would also like to thank Safe and Sound Security Solutions Nelson and Daryl Johnston Electrical Ltd for their contributions in this new build.
Now that the South Island is at Alert Level 2, we are seeing many of our loyal clients again which is a great feeling of normality. A friendly reminder to all that our office hours are Monday – Friday 9 am to 2 pm.
We look forward to seeing you all soon.
