What do I have to do to move into my Storage Unit?
This will explain the process and you will realise how easy My Storage has made it for you to move into your Richmond storage unit.
When you first contact My Storage, we will discuss and guide you as to how much space you will need. You may already know the size storage unit you want or we can guide you through this process to determine the best size for your needs.
It can be helpful to bear in mind that should you wish to access your unit during your storage period, allow enough space so that you can move around. It can also be easy to forget that items such as bicycles can take a lot of room.
Once you have decided the size of the storage unit, we will then move on to discussing your move in date and availability.
Units can be reserved in some circumstances and please do feel free to query this.
The next step is to complete your contract. This is an agreement between you and My Storage Richmond, regarding the terms and conditions of your storage. We will explain the key points, and you will be given a full copy of these.
Your contract is simple and takes minimal time. A form of ID is also required.
We will show you our security features and give you your pin for the electronic security gate. We will also show you your unit and answer any other questions.
Payment is then required and you are up and running!
Payments are made on a monthly basis, on the same date of your move- in.
The notice period required is 14 days.
