We’re lucky enough to be right in the heart of Richmond here at My Storage. You can’t make a trip to the CBD or beyond without passing us at 68 Gladstone Road, so please give us a toot and a wave on your way through!
We’re proud to be apart of the Richmond business community and the hustle and bustle that is the growing shopping and food mecca of the region.
Seeing as we’re right on the main route into Richmond we get to noticing a fair bit about what’s going on here. We see (and smell) what’s new, spy the eateries that have popped up over night, and therefore we are your guide on the top new places to eat in Richmond!
Nothing gets past us!
If you’ve been down Queen Street or further afield in the surrounding areas recently you might have noticed a few new food businesses have opened up – a solid sign of growth for our region. If you haven’t yet, or didn’t notice, we’ve put together a list of new places for you to try!
- Paragon Eatery – don’t let the location (Olive Estate) fool you… this cafe is not just for oldies! The owner is a really lovely chef named Ben, the food is to die for, (triple chocolate cookie caramel house made brioche doughnuts!!!) the decor is stunning with a high cathedral ceilings, floor to ceiling glass, outdoor dining and a kids playground right outside to boot.
Location: 2a Lakehouse Crescent, Richmond, New Zealand.
Open: Daily 8am – 3pm
- Sal’s Pizza – the wait is over! This pizzeria is famous in Auckland for it’s authentic New York pies, and has finally opened in Richmond. The restaurant features classic red booth seating, neon lights and the pizza itself gives Stefanos a run for its money (yes that’s how good it is.) Location: 186 Queen Street, Richmond, New Zealand.
Open: Mon – Friday 11:30am – 9pm, Sat 11.30am – 10pm, Sunday 11.30am – 9pm - Aki Kitchen – this is the third eatery for the team behind Aki Sushi to open, featuring absolutely delicious Japaense based food with some influences from other Asian countries. Dine in or takeaway, you will find more variety including hot dishes than the menu at Aki Sushi, with tempura, dumplings, donburi and a special dinner menu on offer too. Yum!
Location: Queen Street, Richmond Mall, Richmond, New Zealand
Open: Lunch daily 11.30am – 2.30pm, Dinner 4.30pm – late exluding Sundays
We have also spied a Korean cuisine spot opening on Queen Street too, we can’t wait to try!
Leave us a comment if you know about a new place we don’t? We are yet to try Sultan’s Authentic Turkish Cuisine, has anyone else?
