This month, we at My Storage Richmond/Nelson want to extend our sincere gratitude to all of the contractors who have helped us get our units and yard to where they are now, looking great and operating well. It’s taken a team of over ten various contractors to get where we are today and we couldn’t be more than pleased with the final results. We honestly couldn’t have done it without the expertise and coordination of the following contractors, so here’s a big shout-out to our wider team!
Shuttleworth Painters
The family-owned and operated Shuttleworth painters are experts in painting and decorative finishes. Thanks to their team, our yellow My Storage office shines brighter than the sun. Almost all of our containers over the years have been painted by Shuttleworth Painters and each time we are impressed by their hassle-free and quality workmanship.
Design Art Signs
Speaking of our container units, thanks to the team at Design Art Signs all of our units have been numbered, meaning our clients can find their way around easily. The team at Design Art Signs is fantastic and has helped us with our street signage, office signs, and various other signs we’ve needed around the yard.
Daryl Johnston Electrical
Daryl handled all our electrical installations and maintenance. He has spent many hours clambering through full units to get to a PowerPoint at the very back. Big thanks to Daryl for his professionalism and quality service.
Moveables
Thanks to the team at Moveables our new office was built, kitted, and delivered to us. As the company name suggests our office structure is both movable and definitely useable. The space is comfortable and functional and allows us to carry out our administration work at ease.
Byrnes Carriers
Byrnes Carriers made several trips to our yard and despite this, they remained patient and helpful. Their team arrived with a full truckload and due to a communication hitch (through no fault of theirs) and had to turn round, returning to their yard and unloading. Although their team had to load and deliver again, they took it in their strides and kept completely professional and accommodative to the situation. A big thanks to their team for being so accommodating and understanding – we appreciate it.
Safe & Sound
Kirk from Safe & Sound has installed and maintained all of our floodlights, cameras, alarms, and security beams. We have a security gate at another site and Kirk has been kind enough to arrange the pin numbers and automatic gate for that site as well. We plan to eventually have a gate at Gladstone and you best bet Kirk will be on the task again. We think Kirk is almost a permanent fixture!
Drivemaker
The guys at Drivemaker completed the new asphalt at our entrance and the office. It looks fantastic, and we have had a lot of compliments! Not only does it save a lot of dust, both airborne and being walked into the units, but there are no more excuses for a dirty car. A special thanks to CJ Industries, who delivered the new asphalt. Cheers guys!
Gardiner Building
Darryl is our very own on-call builder and completed the construction of all of our new units. As with any kitset build, there was some apprehension about how good the instructions ‘really’ are and whether it will take the 5 minutes as seen in the video. But, Darryl and his team worked it out and in no time they were all done!
Jae
Jae is our jack of all trades. We have relied on the help of Jae for many different reasons in the past and this time their task was to clean the My Storage units. It was hard work at the peak of the NZ hot summer but thanks to their work, we can very proudly present our units
Nelson Bay Fencing
Although we were a bit slow and did not get a photo of them on the job, we simply could not thank them enough. As you can see the fence is perfect and adds yet another layer of security to My Storage. Working along the creek was a little precarious at times, but luckily no one fell in.
Lift n Shift
Lift n Shift lived up to their name. With five trucks loads of deliveries being lifted and shifted! The units were unloaded with a specialised crane and it was amazing to witness the amount of skill and maneuverability needed for our job.
A big thank you to all of our contractors and helpers on this journey. Without you, this truly wouldn’t have been possible.
