The security features are the same as our main yard at 68 Gladstone Road and it is literally just under 5 minutes once you hit the road!
Security includes fully fenced, an electronic gate with personalised pins, 24/7 TV, and night beams which if broken, Armourguard Security is contacted immediately.
An important and vital part of storage is how to actually get your possessions to the storage.
Transportation can be easily overlooked until the last minute as there is so much going on with selling, buying, packing, new jobs, new schools etc to look into.
If you are lucky enough to be able to transport your own gear, this is great and very convenient.
Otherwise you may wish to engage the services of a removal company.
Some tips that we have learnt through many years of helping our My Storage clients and that you may find useful are-
- Book and plan early. Don’t leave it until the last minute as the good removal firms can be booked a long way in advance.
- Ask your mover to estimate the quantity of your possessions to give you an idea of how much storage room you will need. A good mover will either call around or give you an estimate based on a series of questions.
- Will they pack your items for you?
- Do they provide packaging i.e. boxes?
- Will they pack your storage unit? (You don’t want it left outside).
- Check reviews.
- Do they supply insurance?
- Get quotes.
- Ask around for feedback. Storage companies deal with a lot of removals and can offer recommendations.
