As we all blast off into New Year 2025 we would like to wish you all a belated Happy New Year.
As in our previous blogs we try to address some of the questions that we are regularly asked. Our aim is to help as much as possible.
What do I have to do to vacate my storage unit?
Everyone who moves in, has to move out!
My Storage has made this process as painless and as easy as possible.
14 days is the minimum vacation notice period required. This is noted on your contract.
You can notify us in any way that best suits you, email, text, phone, in person or email.
We do not require it in writing.
Is there anything special that I need to do when on emptying my unit?
Not at all. Simply leave it in the same condition as you found it ie. Clean and tidy. Make sure that you remove all your gear. We can supply a broom during office hours.
What if I have damaged my unit?
Please tell us immediately so that we can assess this. Storage units inevitably get damaged to some extent and we take this natural wear and tear into account.
The contract does make an allowance for a cleaning fee, and we use our discretion in applying this.
What if my circumstances change and I cannot move out on the date I told you or can not move out at all.
There is no problem at all when this happens. My Storage always like to work in with our clients and will never make you move out due to changed circumstances. Some things are unavoidable, and we understand this. There is no penalty Just keep us in the loop and we will work with you.
